What kind of flowers to wear in your hair?

We love real flowers as they look exquisite but we are afraid of wearing them to our hair as we might squeeze or destroy, or if they look sad after a few hours. Then you can go for fake flowers (Made up of metal or any fabric) they look very delightful in pictures and very beautiful in real life too and you don't have to pluck any flower. And sometimes we like a flower so much that we wanna wear that more often than also you can opt for similar-looking flower clips. And for those who want variety every time and can take care of the flower can go for the real one as they look the best and the fragrance is also very pleasing.

How to choose the right flowers for the occasion?

We now want a floral hairdo but are confused, what kinda flower to choose, then select the flowers according to the occasion or need. For Instagram pictures or any social handle, you can choose the flower you find nearby or at your home and for big ceremonies or occasions where you might have to stay for a longer time then select the flowers that are sturdy and long-lasting. Choose single blooms atop strong, thick stems. For instance orchids, lilies, roses are your best as they come in so many colours and you got many options to match your outfit. Moreover, sunflower and jasmine (Mogra) are also obvious choices.

Pro tip: Avoid those that drop pollen or that are highly scented and may attract insects.

How to wear flowers in your hair?

Now you know the occasion and the options you have, so its time to choose the hairdo which can go with the hair. You have to keep 2 things in mind :

  1. Hair length: If you have shorter hair you got so many cute options as you can go for the classic pinning the flowers behind your hair or make a floral crown. And if you have long hair then you are lucky as you can explore numerous number of options started from floral buns to pinning baby breaths all over to your hair.
  2. Hair colour: Now this is very important, as if you are wearing a flower in your hair then you must want them to pop. Right? Wearing flowers in similar shade might make your hairs unnoticeable, so always try to choose a flower which can bring a little contrast like red roses in blue hair or lavenders/gardenias in reddish-brown hair.

Pro tip: Try not to use just the flower—a few small, delicate green leaves gives a more natural effect.

How to choose flowers according to the outfit?

Now it totally depends on you, if you love matchy stuff and want to play safe then you can always go for flowers that match your outfit. It looks so beautiful I must tell you. :) But if you are a little experimental and loves to colour block/pop. Then you can always go for contrasting options like lavenders and orchids in most cases and trust me it looks stunning too. ;)

Pro tip: Ensure you get plenty of photos early on while your flowers are looking fresh and at their best.

How to take care of the real flowers before and after wearing?

Before: Bring the flowers a day before the occasion and put them in water for some time and then refrigerate them overnight. It will make the buds look fresh and crisp the next day. :)

After: Flower should be the last thing to your hair, so use setting spray and perfume before that as if you apply them after wearing the flower. It might ruin the flower and its petals and will aid them to fade even quicker.

Pro tip: Avoid touching your hair too much as it might destroy delicate flowers and displace them from there position. And in order to fix them, you might destroy the ones which are not that delicate. So avoid this cycle.
